IL8
Host Note
Optimized DNA sequence encoding Mouse MDC (CCL22) mature chain was expressed in Escherichia Coli.
Endotoxin
Endotoxin content was assayed using a LAL gel clot method.
Endotoxin level was found to be less than 0.1 ng/ug (1EU/ug).
Molecular Weight Note
Native Mouse MDC/CCL22 has a calculated molecular mass of approximately 8 kDa.

Recombinant MDC is a disulfide-linked homodimeric protein consisting of 67 amino acid residue subunits, and migrates as an approximately 8 kDa protein under non-reducing and reducing conditions in SDS-PAGE.
Preparation and Storage
Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2 degree - 8 degree C for one month, or at -20 degree C for six months.

Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Related Product Information for CCL22 recombinant protein
CCL22 (monocyte-derived chemokine) was described initially as a constitutively produced, thymus-specific chemokine, implicated in the recruitment of T cells. One of the functions of CCL22 originally described was induction of migration of CCR4+ Th2 cells, but it has additionally been shown to regulate migration of Tregs. CCL22 has been implicated in a number of diseases, including allergen-induced lung inflammation, atopic dermatitis, and lymphoma. Similarly, a presumed role for CCR4+ cells has been suggested for endotoxic shock, rheumatoid arthritis, T cell lymphoma, and autoimmune diabetes

Uniprot Description

CCL22: May play a role in the trafficking of activated/effector T-lymphocytes to inflammatory sites and other aspects of activated T-lymphocyte physiology. Chemotactic for monocytes, dendritic cells and natural killer cells. Mild chemoattractant for primary activated T-lymphocytes and a potent chemoattractant for chronically activated T-lymphocytes but has no chemoattractant activity for neutrophils, eosinophils, and resting T-lymphocytes. Binds to CCR4. Processed forms MDC(3-69), MDC(5-69) and MDC(7-69) seem not be active. Belongs to the intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family.

Protein type: Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Chemokine; Secreted, signal peptide; Secreted

Cellular Component: extracellular space; extracellular region

Molecular Function: chemokine activity; cytokine activity

Product Notes

The CCL22 ccl22 (Catalog #AAA553251) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MDC (CCL22), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
