Mouse Adiponectin Receptor 1 (ADIPOR1) ELISA Kit
For opened kits: Once the kit is opened, the remaining reagents still need to be stored according to the above storage conditions. In addition, return the unused wells to the foil pouch containing the desiccant pack and reseal along entire edge of zip-seal.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a receptor for the fat-derived hormone adiponectin. Binding of adiponectin to the encoded protein results in activation of an AMP-activated kinase signaling pathway which affects levels of fatty acid oxidation and insulin sensitivity. Homozygous knockout mice for this gene exhibit elevated plasma glucose and insulin levels as well as impaired glucose tolerance. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Uniprot Description
Receptor for ADIPOQ, an essential hormone secreted by adipocytes that regulates glucose and lipid metabolism (PubMed:17327425, PubMed:17268472, PubMed:24742672). Required for normal glucose and fat homeostasis and for maintaining a normal body weight (PubMed:17327425, PubMed:24742672). ADIPOQ-binding activates a signaling cascade that leads to increased AMPK activity, and ultimately to increased fatty acid oxidation, increased glucose uptake and decreased gluconeogenesis (PubMed:12802337, PubMed:17327425, PubMed:17268472, PubMed:24742672). Has high affinity for globular adiponectin and low affinity for full-length adiponectin (PubMed:12802337).

Product Notes
The Mouse ADIPOR1 adipor1 (Catalog #AAA457409) is a RTU ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA457409 RTU ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse ADIPOR1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Adiponectin Receptor 1 (ADIPOR1), RTU ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
