This is a rabbit polyclonal antibody against ZNF384. It was validated on Western Blot

Target Description: This gene encodes a C2H2-type zinc finger protein, which may function as a transcription factor. This gene also contains long CAG trinucleotide repeats that encode consecutive glutamine residues. The protein appears to bind and regulate the promoters of the extracellular matrix genes MMP1, MMP3, MMP7 and COL1A1. Studies in mouse suggest that nuclear matrix transcription factors (NP/NMP4) may be part of a general mechanical pathway that couples cell construction and function during extracellular matrix remodeling. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Recurrent rearrangements of this gene with the Ewing's sarcoma gene, EWSR1 on chromosome 22, or with the TAF15 gene on chromosome 17, or with the TCF3 (E2A) gene on chromosome 19, have been observed in acute leukemia. A related pseudogene has been identified on chromosome 7.

Uniprot Description

ZNF384: Transcription factor that binds the consensus DNA sequence [GC]AAAAA. Seems to bind and regulate the promoters of MMP1, MMP3, MMP7 and COL1A1. Belongs to the krueppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: C2H2-type zinc finger protein; DNA-binding

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 12p12

Cellular Component: focal adhesion; nucleus

Molecular Function: sequence-specific DNA binding; metal ion binding; SH3 domain binding

Biological Process: transcription, DNA-dependent; positive regulation of protein secretion; nucleocytoplasmic transport; positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter

Product Notes

The ZNF384 znf384 (Catalog #AAA3204848) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ZNF384 antibody - C-terminal region reacts with Cow, Dog, Guinea Pig, Horse, Human, Mouse, Rabbit, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ZNF384 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ZNF384 znf384 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Synthetic peptide located within the following region: QQPPPHFQSP GAAPQGGGGG DSNPNPPPQC SFDLTPYKTA EHHKDICLTV. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ZNF384, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
