Human Lipoxin A4 (LXA4) ELISA Kit
Principle of the Assay: This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate LTA4 in Human serum, plasma. An antibody specific for LTA4 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any LTA4 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for LTA4 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of LTA4 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

FPR2: Low affinity receptor for N-formyl-methionyl peptides, which are powerful neutrophils chemotactic factors. Binding of FMLP to the receptor causes activation of neutrophils. This response is mediated via a G-protein that activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. The activation of LXA4R could result in an anti-inflammatory outcome counteracting the actions of proinflammatory signals such as LTB4 (leukotriene B4). Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.
