Preparation and Storage
Store at 4 degree C for frequent use. Stored at -20 degree C in a manual defrost freezer for one year without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a secreted ligand of the TGF-beta (transforming growth factor-beta) superfamily of proteins. Ligands of this family bind various TGF-beta receptors leading to recruitment and activation of SMAD family transcription factors that regulate gene expression. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate the mature protein, which binds to the activin receptor-like kinase 1 (ALK1) and plays important roles in cardiovascular development including cardiomyocyte proliferation and regulation of heart size, closure of the ductus arteriosus, angiogenesis and ventricular trabeculation. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2016]

Uniprot Description

BMP10: Required for maintaining the proliferative activity of embryonic cardiomyocytes by preventing premature activation of the negative cell cycle regulator CDKN1C/p57KIP and maintaining the required expression levels of cardiogenic factors such as MEF2C and NKX2-5. Acts as a ligand for ACVRL1/ALK1, BMPR1A/ALK3 and BMPR1B/ALK6, leading to activation of SMAD1, SMAD5 and SMAD8 transcription factors. Inhibits endothelial cell migration and growth. Belongs to the TGF-beta family.

Product Notes

The BMP10 bmp10 (Catalog #AAA2090596) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Monoclonal Antibody to Bone Morphogenetic Protein 10 (BMP10) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Bone Morphogenetic Protein 10 (BMP10) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunoprecipitation (IP). Western Blot: 0.5-5ug/mL Immunocytochemistry in formalin fixed cells: 5-30ug/mL Immunohistochemistry in formalin fixed frozen section: 5-30ug/mL Immunohistochemistry in paraffin section: 5-30ug/mL. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the BMP10 bmp10 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Bone Morphogenetic Protein 10 (BMP10), Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
