NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the fibronectin leucine rich transmembrane (FLRT) family of cell adhesion molecules, which regulate early embryonic vascular and neural development. The encoded type I transmembrane protein has an extracellular region consisting of an N-terminal leucine-rich repeat domain and a type 3 fibronectin domain, followed by a transmembrane domain and a short C-terminal cytoplasmic tail domain. It functions as both a homophilic cell adhesion molecule and a heterophilic chemorepellent through its interaction with members of the uncoordinated-5 receptor family. Proteolytic removal of the extracellular region controls the migration of neurons in the developing cortex. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Product Notes
The FLRT2 flrt2 (Catalog #AAA2032691) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Fibronectin Leucine Rich Transmembrane Protein 2 (FLRT2) Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Fibronectin Leucine Rich Transmembrane Protein 2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) Formalin/Paraffin, ELISA (EIA). Western Blot: 1:50-400 Immunohistochemistry in formalin fixed frozen section: 1:50-500 Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assay: 1:100-200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FLRT2 flrt2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Fibronectin Leucine Rich Transmembrane Protein 2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
