Mouse Follistatin Like Protein 3 (FSTL3) ELISA Kit | FSTL3 elisa kit
Mouse Follistatin Like Protein 3 (FSTL3) ELISA Kit
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.
Principle of the Assay: The microplate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to FSTL3. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microplate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to FSTL3. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain FSTL3, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm +/- 10nm. The concentration of FSTL3 in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Follistatin-like 3 is a secreted glycoprotein of the follistatin-module-protein family. It may have a role in leukemogenesis. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
FSTL3: Isoform 1 or the secreted form is a binding and antagonizing protein for members of the TGF-beta family, such us activin, BMP2 and MSTN. Inhibits activin A-, activin B-, BMP2- and MSDT-induced cellular signaling; more effective on activin A than on activin B. Involved in bone formation; inhibits osteoclast differentiationc. Involved in hematopoiesis; involved in differentiation of hemopoietic progenitor cells, increases hematopoietic cell adhesion to fibronectin and seems to contribute to the adhesion of hematopoietic precursor cells to the bone marrow stroma. Isoform 2 or the nuclear form is probably involved in transcriptional regulation via interaction with MLLT10. A chromosomal aberration involving FSTL3 is found in a case of B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Translocation t(11;19)(q13;p13) with CCDN1. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative initiation.

Product Notes
The Mouse FSTL3 fstl3 (Catalog #AAA2021344) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2021344 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse FSTL3. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Follistatin Like Protein 3 (FSTL3), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
