Related Product Information for TrkC recombinant protein
TrkC, also known as NT-3 growth factor receptor, is part of the large family of receptor tyrosine kinases. TrkC is the high affinity catalytic receptor for the neurotrophin NT-3 (neurotrophin-3). As such, TrkC mediates the multiple effects of this neurotrophic factor, which includes neuronal differentiation and survival. Family of neurotrophin receptors including NTRK3 have been shown to induce a variety of pleiotorpic response in malignant cells, including enhanced tumor cell invasiveness and chemotoxis. Increased NTRK3 expression has been demonstrated in neuroblastoma, in medulloblastoma, and in neuroectodermal brain tumors. Recombinant mouse TrkC, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.

Uniprot Description

Function: Receptor for neurotrophin-3 (NT-3). This is a tyrosine-protein kinase receptor. Known substrates for the Trk receptors are SHC1, PI 3-kinase, and PLC-gamma-1

By similarity.

Catalytic activity: ATP + a [protein]-L-tyrosine = ADP + a [protein]-L-tyrosine phosphate.

Subunit structure: Exists in a dynamic equilibrium between monomeric (low affinity) and dimeric (high affinity) structures. Binds SH2B2. Interacts with SQSTM1 and KIDINS220

By similarity.

Subcellular location: Membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein

By similarity.

Tissue specificity: Isoform 2 expression is restricted to specific areas in adult brain. Isoform 3 transcripts are readily detected early during embryogenesis and are expressed predominantly in adult brain and gonads. Ref.2

Post-translational modification: Ligand-mediated auto-phosphorylation

By similarity.

Sequence similarities: Belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. Tyr protein kinase family. Insulin receptor subfamily.Contains 2 Ig-like C2-type (immunoglobulin-like) domains.Contains 2 LRR (leucine-rich) repeats.Contains 1 LRRCT domain.Contains 1 protein kinase domain.

Product Notes

The TrkC ntrk3 (Catalog #AAA201260) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Baculovirus and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 32-429aa. AAA Biotech's TrkC can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TrkC ntrk3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: CPANCVCSKT EINCRRPDDG NLFPLLEGQD SGNSNGNASI NITDISRNIT SIHIENWRGL HTLNAVDMEL YTGLQKLTIK NSGLRNIQPR AFAKNPHLRY INLSSNRLTT LSWQLFQTLS LRELRLEQNF FNCSCDIRWM QLWQEQGEAR LDSQSLYCIS ADGSQLPLFR MNISQCDLPE ISVSHVNLTV REGDNAVITC NGSGSPLPDV DWIVTGLQSI NTHQTNLNWT NVHAINLTLV NVTSEDNGFT LTCIAENVVG MSNASVALTV YYPPRVVSLV EPEVRLEHCI EFVVRGNPTP TLHWLYNGQP LRESKIIHMD YYQEGEVSEG CLLFNKPTHY NNGNYTLIAK NALGTANQTI NGHFLKEPFP ESTDFFDFES DASPTPPITV THKPEEDT. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TrkC, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
