Related Product Information for anti-CD328 antibody
CD328, also known as Siglec-7 or p75/AIRM1, is a 75 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein of sialic acid-binding immunoglobulin-like lectin (Siglec) family. CD328 binds to sialylated glycans with alpha2,6 sialyl and alpha2,8 disyalyl residues and mediates sialic acid-dependent cell-cell binding. As it contains in its intracellular part the immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motif (ITIM), it serves as an inhibitory receptor, e.g. of NK cells.

Uniprot Description

SIGLEC7: Putative adhesion molecule that mediates sialic-acid dependent binding to cells. Preferentially binds to alpha-2,3- and alpha-2,6-linked sialic acid. Also binds disialogangliosides (disialogalactosyl globoside, disialyl lactotetraosylceramide and disialyl GalNAc lactotetraoslylceramide). The sialic acid recognition site may be masked by cis interactions with sialic acids on the same cell surface. In the immune response, may act as an inhibitory receptor upon ligand induced tyrosine phosphorylation by recruiting cytoplasmic phosphatase(s) via their SH2 domain(s) that block signal transduction through dephosphorylation of signaling molecules. Mediates inhibition of natural killer cells cytotoxicity. May play a role in hemopoiesis. Inhibits differentiation of CD34+ cell precursors towards myelomonocytic cell lineage and proliferation of leukemic myeloid cells (in vitro). Belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. SIGLEC (sialic acid binding Ig-like lectin) family. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Cell adhesion

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19q13.3

Product Notes

The CD328 siglec7 (Catalog #AAA1800264) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Hu CD328 PE reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD328 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). FC/FACS: QC tested. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD328 siglec7 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD328, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
