Related Product Information for anti-PTPRZ1 antibody
Protein tyrosine phosphatase that negatively regulates oligodendrocyte precursor proliferation in the embryonic spinal cord. Required for normal differentiation of the precursor cells into mature, fully myelinating oligodendrocytes. May play a role in protecting oligondendrocytes against apoptosis. May play a role in the establishment of contextual memory, probably via the dephosphorylation of proteins that are part of important signaling cascades.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the receptor protein tyrosine phosphatase family. Expression of this gene is restricted to the central nervous system (CNS), and it may be involved in the regulation of specific developmental processes in the CNS. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, May 2011]

Uniprot Description

PTPRZ1: May be involved in the regulation of specific developmental processes in the CNS. Belongs to the protein-tyrosine phosphatase family. Receptor class 5 subfamily. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The PTPRZ1 ptprz1 (Catalog #AAA1497970) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit anti-human Receptor-type tyrosine-protein phosphatase zeta polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Receptor-type tyrosine-protein phosphatase zeta can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PTPRZ1 ptprz1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Receptor-type tyrosine-protein phosphatase zeta, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
