Pre-mRNA-processing factor 17 (CDC40) Recombinant Protein | CDC40 recombinant protein
Recombinant Human Pre-mRNA-processing factor 17 (CDC40)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Pre-mRNA splicing occurs in two sequential transesterification steps. The protein encoded by this gene is found to be essential for the catalytic step II in pre-mRNA splicing process. It is found in the spliceosome, and contains seven WD repeats, which function in protein-protein interactions. This protein has a sequence similarity to yeast Prp17 protein, which functions in two different cellular processes: pre-mRNA splicing and cell cycle progression. It suggests that this protein may play a role in cell cycle progression. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
Associates with the spliceosome late in the splicing pathway and may function in the second step of pre-mRNA splicing.

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Pre-mRNA-processing factor 17 (CDC40), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
