Uniprot Description

Function: Capsid protein: involved in aphid transmission, cell-to-cell and systemis movement, encapsidation of the viral RNA and in the regulation of viral RNA amplification.Nuclear inclusion protein B: a RNA-dependent RNA polymerase that plays an essential role in the virus replication.

Catalytic activity: Nucleoside triphosphate + RNA(n) = diphosphate + RNA(n+1).

Subcellular location: Capsid protein: Virion

Potential.

Post-translational modification: Genome polyprotein of potyviruses undergoes post-translational proteolytic processing by the main proteinase NIa-pro resulting in the production of at least ten individual proteins. The P1 proteinase and the HC-pro cleave only their respective C-termini autocatalytically. 6K1 is essential for proper proteolytic separation of P3 from CI

By similarity.

Sequence similarities: Belongs to the potyviridae genome polyprotein family.

Product Notes

The Genome polyprotein ni-b (Catalog #AAA1185288) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli or Yeast or Baculovirus or Mammalian Cell and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 1-17aa; full length protein. The amino acid sequence is listed below: VALDDEFEFD SYEVHHQ. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Genome polyprotein, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
