Related Product Information for ZNF143 elisa kit
Transcriptional regulatory proteins containing tandemly repeated zinc finger domains are thought to be involved in both normal and abnormal cellular proliferation and differentiation. One abundant class of such transcriptional regulators resembles the Drosophila Kruppel segmentation gene product due to the presence of repeated Cys2-His2 (C2H2) zinc finger domains that are connected by conserved sequences, called H/C links. Like Staf, both ZNF76 and ZNF143 contain 7 zinc fingers and an activation domain with the mRNA and snRNA activation regions. Both proteins bound Staf-responsive elements in vitro. Chimeric ZNF76 and ZNF143 proteins activated a pol II mRNA promoter and snRNA pol II and pol III promoters in Xenopus oocytes.

Principle of the Assay: This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate ZNF143 in samples. An antibody specific for ZNF143 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyZNF143 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for ZNF143 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of ZNF143 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Uniprot Description

ZNF143: a transcriptional activator that binds to the SPH motif of small nuclear RNA (snRNA) gene promoters. Interacts with p73. Involved in cisplatin resistance through the transcriptional regulation of DNA repair genes. Transcriptional tergets include BUB1B, TFAM and transaldolase. Association with CHD8 contributes to efficient U6 RNA polymerase III transcription.

Product Notes

The Mouse ZNF143 znf143 (Catalog #AAA282627) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA282627 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse ZNF143. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Zinc finger protein 143, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
