The SLC35 family is highly conserved type III transmembrane proteins that are divided into 7 subfamilies (SLC35A-G). SLC35E1 belongs to the TPT transporter family and SLC35E subfamily. SLC35E1 is also known as FLJ14251. The SLC35E1 protein is ubiquitously expressed in prostate, lung and other tissues. Structurally, the encoded SLC35E1 protein is reported to be 44773 Da in mass.
