Related Product Information for WEE2 recombinant protein
Full-length recombinant mouse WEE2 was expressed by baculovirus in Sf9 insect cells using an N-terminal GST tag. The gene accession number is BC052883.
WEE2, also known as WEE1B, is a dual-specificity kinases that uniquely function to phosphorylate specific Tyr/Thr residues on CDKs. It belongs to WEE1 family that also includes WEE1 homolog 1 (WEE1, also designated as somatic WEE1A) and PKMYT1 (previously known as MYT1). It is conserved from yeast to humans and has been shown to suppress CDK1 activity by phosphorylating its inhibitory sites. A key M phase-promoting factor (MPF) inhibitory kinase in oocytes and is required for maintaining meiotic arrest.

Product Notes

The WEE2 (Catalog #AAA517790) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Sf9 insect cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's WEE2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Kinase Assay, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the WEE2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "WEE2, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
