Related Product Information for TRIO recombinant protein
Recombinant human TRIO (2627-end) was expressed by baculovirus in Sf9 insect cells using an N-terminal GST tag. The TRIO protein accession number is O75962-1.
TRIO (Triple functional domain protein) belongs to CAMK Ser/Thr protein kinase family with 5 isoforms produced by alternative splicing. It encodes two Dbl-homology-Pleckstrin-homology (DH-PH) Rho-GEF units with different specificities and a C-terminal serine/threonine kinase domain. It is a Rho-guanine nucleotide exchange factors (GEFs) that catalyzes exchange of GDP for GTP on small Rho-GTPases, such as Rac1, RhoG and RhoA. TRIO was originally identified as a binding partner of the transmembrane tyrosine phosphatase LAR, and they together play a role in coordinating cell-matrix and cytoskeletal rearrangements required for cell migration and cell growth.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a large protein that functions as a GDP to GTP exchange factor. This protein promotes the reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton, thereby playing a role in cell migration and growth. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2015]

Uniprot Description

TRIO: Promotes the exchange of GDP by GTP. Together with leukocyte antigen-related (LAR) protein, it could play a role in coordinating cell-matrix and cytoskeletal rearrangements necessary for cell migration and cell growth. Belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. CAMK Ser/Thr protein kinase family. 5 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The TRIO trio (Catalog #AAA517694) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Sf9 insect cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's TRIO can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Kinase Assay, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TRIO trio for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TRIO, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
