Reactivity
Human
Specificity
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of TP. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between TP and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between TP and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.
Samples
Serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate
Assay Type
Quantitative Competitive
Sensitivity
0.1 ng/mL
Preparation and Storage
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C.

Related Product Information for TP elisa kit
Intended Uses: This TP ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Human TP. This ELISA kit for research use only!

Principle of the Assay: TP ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing an anti-TP antibody and an TP-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with TP-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the TP concentration since TP from samples and TP-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-TP antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by TP from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind TP-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The TP concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes an angiogenic factor which promotes angiogenesis in vivo and stimulates the in vitro growth of a variety of endothelial cells. It has a highly restricted target cell specificity acting only on endothelial cells. Mutations in this gene have been associated with mitochondrial neurogastrointestinal encephalomyopathy. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2012]

Uniprot Description

ECGF1: May have a role in maintaining the integrity of the blood vessels. Has growth promoting activity on endothelial cells, angiogenic activity in vivo and chemotactic activity on endothelial cells in vitro. Homodimer. Belongs to the thymidine/pyrimidine-nucleoside phosphorylase family.

Product Notes

The Human TP tymp (Catalog #AAA731022) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA731022 ELISA Kit recognizes Human TP. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Thymidine phosphorylase , ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
