Related Product Information for STK10/LOK recombinant protein
Background: STK10 (Serine/Threonine Kinase 10) is a serine/threonine-protein kinase involved in regulation of lymphocyte migration. STK10 phosphorylates MSN and involved in regulation of lymphocyte migration by mediating phosphorylation of ERM proteins such as MSN. It acts as a negative regulator of MAP3K1/MEKK1 and may also act as a cell cycle regulator by acting as a polo kinase kinase. Diseases associated with STK10 include Testicular Germ Cell Tumor.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the Ste20 family of serine/threonine protein kinases, and is similar to several known polo-like kinase kinases. The protein can associate with and phosphorylate polo-like kinase 1, and overexpression of a kinase-dead version of the protein interferes with normal cell cycle progression. The kinase can also negatively regulate interleukin 2 expression in T-cells via the mitogen activated protein kinase kinase 1 pathway. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

Product Notes

The STK10/LOK stk10 (Catalog #AAA389422) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Baculovirus and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "STK10/LOK, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
