Gamma-1-syntrophin (SNTG1) Recombinant Protein | SNTG1 recombinant protein
Recombinant Human Gamma-1-syntrophin (SNTG1)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the syntrophin family. Syntrophins are cytoplasmic peripheral membrane proteins that typically contain 2 pleckstrin homology (PH) domains, a PDZ domain that bisects the first PH domain, and a C-terminal domain that mediates dystrophin binding. This gene is specifically expressed in the brain. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2013]
Uniprot Description
SNTG1: Adapter protein that binds to and probably organizes the subcellular localization of a variety of proteins. May link various receptors to the actin cytoskeleton and the dystrophin glycoprotein complex. May participate in regulating the subcellular location of diacylglycerol kinase-zeta to ensure that diacylglycerol is rapidly inactivated following receptor activation. Belongs to the syntrophin family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: Adaptor/scaffold
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 8q11.21
Cellular Component: cytoskeleton; cytoplasm; syntrophin complex; nucleus
Molecular Function: protein C-terminus binding; actin binding
Biological Process: cell communication

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Gamma-1-syntrophin (SNTG1), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
