Chicken Small Nuclear Ribonucleoprotein Polypeptide C ELISA Kit | SNRPC elisa kit
Chicken Small Nuclear Ribonucleoprotein Polypeptide C ELISA Kit
INTENDED USE This SNRPC ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Chicken SNRPC. This ELISA kit for research use only!
PRINCIPLE OF THE ASSAY SNRPC ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-SNRPC antibody and an SNRPC-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with SNRPC-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the SNRPC concentration since SNRPC from samples and SNRPC-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-SNRPC antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by SNRPC from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind SNRPC-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The SNRPC concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes one of the specific protein components of the U1 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein (snRNP) particle required for the formation of the spliceosome. The encoded protein participates in the processing of nuclear precursor messenger RNA splicing. snRNP particles are attacked by autoantibodies frequently produced by patients with connective tissue diseases. The genome contains several pseudogenes of this functional gene. Alternative splicing results in a non-coding transcript variant.[provided by RefSeq, Oct 2009]
Uniprot Description
snRNP C: Component of the U1 snRNP, which is essential for recognition of the pre-mRNA 5' splice-site and the subsequent assembly of the spliceosome. U1-C is directly involved in initial 5' splice-site recognition for both constitutive and regulated alternative splicing. The interaction with the 5' splice-site seems to precede base-pairing between the pre-mRNA and the U1 snRNA. Stimulates E complex formation by stabilizing the base pairing of the 5' end of the U1 snRNA and the 5' splice-site region. Belongs to the U1 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein C family.

Product Notes
The Chicken SNRPC snrpc (Catalog #AAA738079) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA738079 ELISA Kit recognizes Chicken SNRPC. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Small Nuclear Ribonucleoprotein Polypeptide C, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
