Related Product Information for SMYD1 recombinant protein
Short Description: Recombinant SMYD1 (accession number NP_938015.1) was expressed in Sf9 cells and contains an N-terminal DYKDDDDK tag with an observed molecular weight of 58.3 kDa. SET and MYND domain-containing protein 1 (Smyd1) is a member of the Smyd family of histone methyltransferases that possesses H3K4 methyltransferase activity. It has also been shown to act as a transcriptional repressor. Studies suggest that Smyd1 may play a critical role in cardiomyocyte differentiation and cardiac morphogenesis and that it also may have a function in skeletal muscle development. Recombinant Smyd1 can be used to study enzyme kinetics and perform inhibitor screening assays.

Product Notes

The SMYD1 smyd1 (Catalog #AAA388123) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Baculovirus and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SMYD1, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
