Intra-assay Precision
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level FSH were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively. Intra-Assay: CV<10%
Inter-assay Precision
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level FSH were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate. CV(%) = SD/meanX100. Inter-Assay: CV<12%
Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

Related Product Information for FSH elisa kit
Intended Uses: The kit is a competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique for the in vitro quantitative measurement of FSH in mouse serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. An antibody specific to FSH has been pre-coated onto a microplate. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between biotin labeled FSH and unlabeled FSH (Standards or samples) with the pre-coated antibody specific to FSH. After incubation the unbound conjugate is washed off. Next, avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. The amount of bound HRP conjugate is reverse proportional to the concentration of FSH in the sample. After addition of the substrate solution, the intensity of color developed is reverse proportional to the concentration of FSH in the sample.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to family 1 of G-protein coupled receptors. It is the receptor for follicle stimulating hormone and functions in gonad development. Mutations in this gene cause ovarian dysgenesis type 1, and also ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2010]

Uniprot Description

G protein-coupled receptor for follitropin, the follicle-stimulating hormone (PubMed:11847099, PubMed:24058690, PubMed:24692546). Through cAMP production activates the downstream PI3K-AKT and ERK1/ERK2 signaling pathways (PubMed:24058690).

Product Notes

The Sheep FSH fshr (Catalog #AAA2104815) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2104815 ELISA Kit recognizes Sheep FSH. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for Antigen Detection. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the FSH fshr for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
