Preparation and Storage
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Store at 2-8 degree C for one month. Aliquot and store at -80 degree C for 12 months.
Stability Test: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate of the target protein. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. (Referring from China Biological Products Standard, which was calculated by the Arrhenius equation.) The loss of this protein is lessthan 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

Uniprot Description

SCARA5: Ferritin receptor that mediates non-transferrin- dependent delivery of iron. Mediates cellular uptake of ferritin- bound iron by stimulating ferritin endocytosis from the cell surface with consequent iron delivery within the cell. Delivery of iron to cells by ferritin is required for the development of specific cell types, suggesting the existence of cell type- specific mechanisms of iron traffic in organogenesis, which alternatively utilize transferrin or non-transferrin iron delivery pathways. Ferritin mediates iron uptake in capsule cells of the developing kidney. Binds preferrentially ferritin light chain (FTL) compared to heavy chain (FTH1). Belongs to the SCARA5 family. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The SCARA5 scara5 (Catalog #AAA2032931) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Scavenger Receptor Class A Member 5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE, Western (WB), ELISA (EIA), Immunoprecipitation (IP). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SCARA5 scara5 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: QAD LTEQVWKVQD ALQNQSDSLL ALAGAVQRLE GALWGLQAQA VQTEQAVALL RDRTGQQSDT AQLELYQLQV ESNSSQLLLR RHAGLLDGLA RRVGILGEEL ADVGGVLRGL NHSLSYDVAL HRTRLQDLRV LVSNASEDTR RLRLAHVGME LQLKQELAML NAVTEDLRLK DWEHSIALRN ISLAKGPPGP KGDQGDEGKE GRPGIPGLPG LRGLPGERGT PGLPGPKGDD GKLGATGPMG MRGFKGDRGP KGEKGEKGDR AGDASGVEAP MMIRLVNGSG PHEGRVEVYH DRRWGTVCDD GWDKKDGDVV CRMLGFRGVE EVYRTARFGQ GTGRIWMDDV ACKGTEETIF RCSFSKWGVT NCGHAEDASV TCNRH. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Scavenger Receptor Class A Member 5, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
