Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

Related Product Information for EFNA3 elisa kit
The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Ephrin A3 (EFNA3). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Ephrin A3 (EFNA3). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Ephrin A3 (EFNA3), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Ephrin A3 (EFNA3) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the ephrin (EPH) family. The ephrins and EPH-related receptors comprise the largest subfamily of receptor protein-tyrosine kinases and have been implicated in mediating developmental events, especially in the nervous system and in erythropoiesis. Based on their structures and sequence relationships, ephrins are divided into the ephrin-A (EFNA) class, which are anchored to the membrane by a glycosylphosphatidylinositol linkage, and the ephrin-B (EFNB) class, which are transmembrane proteins. This gene encodes an EFNA class ephrin. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

EFNA3: Cell surface GPI-bound ligand for Eph receptors, a family of receptor tyrosine kinases which are crucial for migration, repulsion and adhesion during neuronal, vascular and epithelial development. Binds promiscuously Eph receptors residing on adjacent cells, leading to contact-dependent bidirectional signaling into neighboring cells. The signaling pathway downstream of the receptor is referred to as forward signaling while the signaling pathway downstream of the ephrin ligand is referred to as reverse signaling. Belongs to the ephrin family.

Protein type: Membrane protein, GPI anchor; Cell development/differentiation; Ligand, receptor tyrosine kinase

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1q21-q22

Cellular Component: integral to plasma membrane; plasma membrane; extracellular region

Molecular Function: transmembrane-ephrin receptor activity; ephrin receptor binding

Biological Process: axon guidance; cell-cell signaling; ephrin receptor signaling pathway

Product Notes

The Human EFNA3 efna3 (Catalog #AAA2020345) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2020345 ELISA Kit recognizes Human EFNA3. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Ephrin A3 (EFNA3), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
