Mouse Rho-associated protein kinase 2 ELISA Kit
Principle of the Assay: The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rho-associated protein kinase 2. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated polyclonal antibody preparation specific for Rho-associated protein kinase 2 and Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. Then a TMB substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Rho-associated protein kinase 2, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The concentration of Rho-associated protein kinase 2 in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
ROCK2: Protein kinase which is a key regulator of actin cytoskeleton and cell polarity. Involved in regulation of smooth muscle contraction, actin cytoskeleton organization, stress fiber and focal adhesion formation, neurite retraction, cell adhesion and motility via phosphorylation of ADD1, BRCA2, CNN1, EZR, DPYSL2, EP300, MSN, MYL9/MLC2, NPM1, RDX, PPP1R12A and VIM. Phosphorylates SORL1 and IRF4. Acts as a negative regulator of VEGF-induced angiogenic endothelial cell activation. Positively regulates the activation of p42/MAPK1-p44/MAPK3 and of p90RSK/RPS6KA1 during myogenic differentiation. Plays an important role in the timely initiation of centrosome duplication. Inhibits keratinocyte terminal differentiation. May regulate closure of the eyelids and ventral body wall through organization of actomyosin bundles. Plays a critical role in the regulation of spine and synaptic properties in the hippocampus. Homodimer. Interacts with IRS1, RHOB and RHOC. Interacts with RHOA (activated by GTP), PPP1R12A, CHORDC1, SORL1, EP300 and BRCA2. Interacts with NPM1 and this interaction enhances its activity. Interacts with RAF1. Activated by RHOA binding. Inhibited by Y-27632. Belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. AGC Ser/Thr protein kinase family.

Product Notes
The Mouse Rock2 rock2 (Catalog #AAA2887192) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2887192 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse Rock2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Rho-associated protein kinase 2, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
