The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rho Associated Coiled Coil Containing Protein Kinase 2 (Rock2). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Rho Associated Coiled Coil Containing Protein Kinase 2 (Rock2). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. The protein encoded by this gene is a serine/threonine kinase that regulates cytokinesis, smooth muscle contraction, the formation of actin stress fibers and focal adhesions, and the activation of the c-fos serum response element.
