Retinol dehydrogenase 11 Recombinant Protein | RDH11 recombinant protein
Recombinant Human Retinol dehydrogenase 11
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is an NADPH-dependent retinal reductase and a short-chain dehydrogenase/reductase. The encoded protein has no steroid dehydrogenase activity. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2011]
Uniprot Description
RDH11: Exhibits an oxidoreductive catalytic activity towards retinoids. Most efficient as an NADPH-dependent retinal reductase. Displays high activity towards 9-cis and all-trans-retinol. Also involved in the metabolism of short-chain aldehydes. No steroid dehydrogenase activity detected. Belongs to the short-chain dehydrogenases/reductases (SDR) family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Retinol dehydrogenase 11, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
