Rat Serine/Threonine-Protein Kinase DCLK1 (DCLK1) ELISA Kit | DCLK1 elisa kit
Rat Serine/Threonine-Protein Kinase DCLK1 (DCLK1) ELISA Kit
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Background: Dclk1 encodes a member of the protein kinase superfamily and the doublecortin family. The typical protein encoded by Dclk1 contains two N-terminal doublecortin domains, which bind microtubules and regulate microtubule polymerization, a C-terminal serine/threonine protein kinase domain, which shows substantial homology to Ca2+/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase, and a serine/proline-rich domain in between the doublecortin and the protein kinase domains, which mediates multiple protein-protein interactions. The microtubule-polymerizing activity of the protein is independent of its protein kinase activity. Dclk1 is involved in several different cellular processes, including neuronal migration, retrograde transport, neuronal apoptosis and neurogenesis. Multiple transcript variants generated by two alternative promoter usage and alternative splicing have been found, but the full-length nature of the variant produced from the 5' promoter has not been determined. Current reference sequence data represents two alternatively spliced transcript variants produced from the 3' promoter and their protein products lack the doublecortin domain.

Product Notes
The Rat DCLK1 dclk1 (Catalog #AAA9712464) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9712464 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat DCLK1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Serine/Threonine-Protein Kinase DCLK1 (DCLK1), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
