Principle of the Assay: The Picokine Rat SCGB3A1 Pre-Coated ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is a solid phase immunoassay specially designed to measure Rat SCGB3A1 with a 96-well strip plate that is pre-coated with antibody specific for SCGB3A1. The detection antibody is a biotinylated antibody specific for SCGB3A1. The capture antibody is A monoclonal antibody from mouse, the detection antibody is a biotinylated detection polyclonal antibody from goat. The kit contains recombinant Rat SCGB3A1 with immunogen: Expression system for standard: E.coli, Immunogen sequence: F22-G104. The kit is analytically validated with ready to use reagents. To measure Rat SCGB3A1, add standards and samples to the wells, then add the biotinylated detection antibody. Wash the wells with PBS or TBS buffer, and add Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex (ABC-HRP). Wash away the unbounded ABC-HRP with PBS or TBS buffer and add TMB. TMB is substrate to HRP and will be catalyzed to produce a blue color product, which changes into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of the yellow product is linearly propotional to Rat SCGB3A1 in the sample. Read the density of the yellow product in each well using a plate reader, and benchmark the sample wells' readings against the standard curve to determine the concentration of Rat SCGB3A1 in the sample!!Background/Introduction: Secretoglobin family 3A member 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SCGB3A1 gene. Uniprot Description

Coreceptor for SEMA3A and SEMA3F. Necessary for signaling by class 3 semaphorins and subsequent remodeling of the cytoskeleton. Plays a role in axon guidance in the developing nervous system. Regulates the migration of sympathetic neurons, but not of neural crest precursors. Required for normal dendrite spine morphology in pyramidal neurons. May play a role in regulating semaphorin-mediated programmed cell death in the developing nervous system. Class 3 semaphorins bind to a complex composed of a neuropilin and a plexin. The plexin modulates the affinity of the complex for specific semaphorins, and its cytoplasmic domain is required for the activation of down-stream signaling events in the cytoplasm ().
