Rat Kallikrein 5 (KLK5) ELISA Kit | KLK5 elisa kit

Rat Kallikrein 5 (KLK5) ELISA Kit

Gene Names
KLK5; SCTE; KLKL2; KLK-L2
Reactivity
Rat
Synonyms
Kallikrein 5 (KLK5); Rat Kallikrein 5 (KLK5) ELISA Kit; KLK5 elisa kit
Ordering
For Research Use Only!
Reactivity
Rat
Specificity
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of KLK5. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between KLK5 and analogues was observed.
Sequence Length
293
Samples
Rat serum, plasma and other biological fluids
Detection Range
0.156-10ng/mL
Sensitivity
The minimum detectable dose of KLK5 is typically less than 0.062ng/mL. The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest protein concentration that could be differentiated from zero. It was determined by adding two standard deviations to the mean optical density value of twenty zero standard replicates and calculating the corresponding concentration.
Intra-assay Precision
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level KLK5 were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively. Intra-Assay: CV<10%
Inter-assay Precision
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level KLK5 were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate. CV(%) = SD/meanX100. Inter-Assay: CV<12%
Intended Uses
The kit is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for in vitro quantitative measurement of KLK5 in rat serum, plasma and other biological fluids.
Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

Principle of the assay: The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to KLK5. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to KLK5. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain KLK5, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of KLK5 in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

Kallikreins are a subgroup of serine proteases having diverse physiological functions. Growing evidence suggests that many kallikreins are implicated in carcinogenesis and some have potential as novel cancer and other disease biomarkers. This gene is one of the fifteen kallikrein subfamily members located in a cluster on chromosome 19. Its expression is up-regulated by estrogens and progestins. The encoded protein is secreted and may be involved in desquamation in the epidermis. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding the same protein. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes

The Rat KLK5 klk5 (Catalog #AAA2019227) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2019227 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat KLK5. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Kallikrein 5 (KLK5), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
