Rat Fibroblast Growth Factor 7 (FGF7) ELISA Kit
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.
Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. A monoclonal antibody specific to FGF7 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between biotin labeled FGF7 and unlabeled FGF7 (Standards or samples) with the pre-coated antibody specific to FGF7. After incubation the unbound conjugate is washed off. Next, avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. The amount of bound HRP conjugate is reverse proportional to the concentration of FGF7 in the sample. After addition of the substrate solution, the intensity of color developed is reverse proportional to the concentration of FGF7 in the sample.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family. FGF family members possess broad mitogenic and cell survival activities, and are involved in a variety of biological processes, including embryonic development, cell growth, morphogenesis, tissue repair, tumor growth and invasion. This protein is a potent epithelial cell-specific growth factor, whose mitogenic activity is predominantly exhibited in keratinocytes but not in fibroblasts and endothelial cells. Studies of mouse and rat homologs of this gene implicated roles in morphogenesis of epithelium, reepithelialization of wounds, hair development and early lung organogenesis. Product Notes
The Rat FGF7 fgf7 (Catalog #AAA2700248) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2700248 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat FGF7. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Fibroblast Growth Factor 7 (FGF7), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
