Rat Atrial Natriuretic Peptide-Converting Enzyme (CORIN) ELISA Kit | CORIN elisa kit
Rat Atrial Natriuretic Peptide-Converting Enzyme (CORIN) ELISA Kit
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Background: Corin encodes a member of the type II transmembrane serine protease class of the trypsin superfamily. The encoded protein converts pro-atrial natriuretic peptide to biologically active atrial natriuretic peptide, a cardiac hormone that regulates blood volume and pressure. This protein may also function as a pro-brain-type natriuretic peptide convertase. The corin cDNA encodes a deduced 1,042-amino acid, type II transmembrane protein. At its N terminus, corin contains a short cytoplasmic domain and a transmembrane sequence. In the extracellular region of corin, there are 2 frizzled-like cysteine-rich motifs, 7 low density lipoprotein receptor repeats, a macrophage scavenger receptor-like domain, and a trypsin-like protease domain at the C terminus.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
Serine-type endopeptidase involved in atrial natriuretic peptide hormone (NPPA) processing. Converts through proteolytic cleavage the non-functional propeptide NPPA into the active hormone, thereby regulating blood pressure in heart and promoting natriuresis, diuresis and vasodilation. Proteolytic cleavage of pro-NPPA also plays a role in female pregnancy by promoting trophoblast invasion and spiral artery remodeling in uterus. Also acts as a regulator of sodium reabsorption in kidney. May also process pro-NPPB the B-type natriuretic peptide.

Product Notes
The Rat CORIN corin (Catalog #AAA9712589) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9712589 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat CORIN. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Atrial Natriuretic Peptide-Converting Enzyme (CORIN), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
