Related Product Information for TYRP1 elisa kit
Intended Uses: This sandwich kit is for the accurate quantitative detection of Rabbit Tyrosinase-Related Protein 1 (also known as TYRP1) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, cell lysates, tissue homogenates.

Principle of the Assay: This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Rabbit TYRP1 antibody. TYRP1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Rabbit TYRP1 Antibody is added and binds to TYRP1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated TYRP1antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Rabbit TYRP1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a melanosomal enzyme that belongs to the tyrosinase family and plays an important role in the melanin biosynthetic pathway. Defects in this gene are the cause of rufous oculocutaneous albinism and oculocutaneous albinism type III. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2009]

Uniprot Description

Catalyzes the oxidation of 5,6-dihydroxyindole-2-carboxylic acid (DHICA) into indole-5,6-quinone-2-carboxylic acid in the presence of bound Cu2+ ions (PubMed:28661582). May regulate or influence the type of melanin synthesized (PubMed:22556244, PubMed:16704458). Also to a lower extent, capable of hydroxylating tyrosine and producing melanin ().

Product Notes

The Rabbit TYRP1 tyrp1 (Catalog #AAA1601657) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA1601657 ELISA Kit recognizes Rabbit TYRP1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Tyrosinase-Related Protein 1 (TYRP1), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
