Related Product Information for TCF20 elisa kit
Intended Uses: This ELISA kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of Rabbit TCF20 concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to TCF20. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for TCF20 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain TCF20, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of TCF20. You can calculate the concentration of TCF20 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a transcription factor that recognizes the platelet-derived growth factor-responsive element in the matrix metalloproteinase 3 promoter. The encoded protein is thought to be a transcriptional coactivator, enhancing the activity of transcription factors such as JUN and SP1. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2013]

Uniprot Description

TCF20: a transcriptional activator. Binds to the regulatory region of MMP3 and thereby controls stromelysin expression. It stimulates the activity of various transcriptional activators such as JUN, SP1, PAX6 and ETS1, suggesting a function as a coactivator. Two alternatively spliced isoforms have been described. Isoform 1 is exclusively expressed in brain, heart and testis, and predominates in liver and kidney. Isoform 2 predominates in lung.

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; nucleus

Molecular Function: DNA binding; zinc ion binding; transcription coactivator activity

Product Notes

The Rabbit TCF20 tcf20 (Catalog #AAA2509178) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2509178 ELISA Kit recognizes Rabbit TCF20. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TCF20, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
