Related Product Information for PSTPIP1 recombinant protein
Description: PSTPIP1 Human Recombinant produced in E Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 439 amino acids (1-416) and having a molecular mass of 50 kDa.PSTPIP1 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Introduction: Proline-Serine-Threonine Phosphatase Interacting Protein 1 (PSTPIP1) which is a scaffold protein and a regulator of the actin cytoskeleton binds ABL1, PTPN18, WAS, CD2AP, and PTPN12. PSTPIP1 also binds to the cytoplasmic tail of CD2, an effector of T cell activation and adhesion, negatively affecting CD2-triggered T cell activation. Mutations in PSTPIP1 are a cause of PAPA syndrome.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene binds to the cytoplasmic tail of CD2, an effector of T cell activation and adhesion, negatively affecting CD2-triggered T cell activation. The encoded protein appears to be a scaffold protein and a regulator of the actin cytoskeleton. It has also been shown to bind ABL1, PTPN18, WAS, CD2AP, and PTPN12. Mutations in this gene are a cause of PAPA syndrome. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

The amino acid sequence is listed below: MGSSHHH HHH SSGLVPRGSH MGSMMP QLQF KDAFWCRDFT AHTGYEVLLQ RLLDGRKMCK DMEELLRQRA QAEERYGKEL VQIARKAGGQ TEINSLRASF DSLKQQMENV GSSHIQLALT LREELRSLEE FRERQKEQRK KYEAVMDRVQ KSKLSLYKKA MESKKTYEQK CRDADDAEQA FERISANGHQ KQVEKSQNKA RQCKDSATEA ERVYRQSIAQ LEKVRAEWEQ EHRTTCEAFQ LQEFDRLTIL RNALWVHSNQ LSMQCVKDDE LYEEVRLTLE GCSIDADIDS FIQAKSTGTE PPAPVPYQNY YDREVTPLTS SPGIQPSCGM IKRFSGLLHG SPKTTSLAAS AASTETLTPT PERNEGVYTA IAVQEIQGNP ASPAQEYRAL YDYTAQNPDE LDLSAGDILE VILEGEDGWW TVERNGQRGF VPGSYLEKL. . It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Proline-Serine-Threonine Phosphatase Interacting Protein 1, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
