Mouse P-Selectin Glycoprotein Ligand 1 ELISA Kit | PSGL-1 elisa kit

Mouse P-Selectin Glycoprotein Ligand 1 ELISA Kit

Gene Names
SELPLG; CLA; CD162; PSGL1; PSGL-1
Reactivity
Mouse
Synonyms
P-Selectin Glycoprotein Ligand 1; Mouse P-Selectin Glycoprotein Ligand 1 ELISA Kit; PSGL-1 elisa kit
Ordering
For Research Use Only!
Reactivity
Mouse
Specificity
No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Mouse PSGL-1 and analogues was observed.
Samples
Serum, Plasma, Tissue Homogenate, Feces, Urine and Body Fluids
Assay Type
Sandwich
Detection Range
0.25ng/ml-8ng/ml.
Sensitivity
0.1ng/ml.
Intended Uses
This Quantitative Sandwich ELISA kit is only for in vitro research use only, not for drug, household, therapeutic applications! It is intended to be determinated PSGL-1 concentrations in Mouse serum, plasma and other body fluids. Using Purified Mouse PSGL-1 antibody to coat Microelisa Stripplate wells to make solid-phase antibody, then add PSGL-1 and PSGL-1 antibody which has been labeled with HRP to wells, then the reactants become antibody-antigen-antibody-enzyme complex, after washing completely, add TMB substrate solution, TMB substrate becomes blue color under HRP enzyme-catalyzed, reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm. The concentration of PSGL-1 in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
Intra-assay Precision
Intra-assay CV (%) is less than 15%.
Inter-assay Precision
Inter-assay CV (%) is less than 15%. [CV(%) = SD/mean x100]
Preparation and Storage
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a glycoprotein that functions as a high affinity counter-receptor for the cell adhesion molecules P-, E- and L- selectin expressed on myeloid cells and stimulated T lymphocytes. As such, this protein plays a critical role in leukocyte trafficking during inflammation by tethering of leukocytes to activated platelets or endothelia expressing selectins. This protein requires two post-translational modifications, tyrosine sulfation and the addition of the sialyl Lewis x tetrasaccharide (sLex) to its O-linked glycans, for its high-affinity binding activity. Aberrant expression of this gene and polymorphisms in this gene are associated with defects in the innate and adaptive immune response. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants.[provided by RefSeq, Apr 2011]

Uniprot Description

SELPLG: A SLe(x)-type glycan, which through high affinity, calcium-dependent interactions with E-, P- and L-selectins, mediates rapid rolling of leukocytes over vascular surfaces during the initial steps in inflammation. PSGL1 is critical for the initial leukocyte capture.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 12q24

Cellular Component: membrane; integral to plasma membrane; integral to membrane; plasma membrane

Molecular Function: protein binding; receptor binding

Biological Process: leukocyte tethering or rolling; blood coagulation; cell adhesion; leukocyte adhesive activation; leukocyte migration

Product Notes

The Mouse PSGL-1 selplg (Catalog #AAA021469) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA021469 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse PSGL-1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "P-Selectin Glycoprotein Ligand 1, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
