Western Blot Positive Control PtdIns(3, 4, 5)-dependent Rac exchanger 2a Antibody
Functions as a RAC1 guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF), activating Rac proteins by exchanging bound GDP for free GTP. Mediates the activation of RAC1 in a PI3K-dependent manner. May be an important mediator of Rac signaling, acting directly downstream of both G protein-coupled receptors and phosphoinositide 3-kinase.

Uniprot Description

PREX2: Functions as a RAC1 guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF), activating Rac proteins by exchanging bound GDP for free GTP. Its activity is synergistically activated by phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-trisphosphate and the beta gamma subunits of heterotrimeric G protein. Mediates the activation of RAC1 in a PI3K-dependent manner. May be an important mediator of Rac signaling, acting directly downstream of both G protein- coupled receptors and phosphoinositide 3-kinase. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The PREX2 prex2 (Catalog #AAA543163) is a Positive Control and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's PREX2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Western Blot: 1:500-1:750. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PREX2 prex2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PREX2, Positive Control" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
