ZNF354C may function as a transcription repressor. ZNF354C binds to 5'-CCACA-3' core sequence. ZNF354C plays a role in postnatal myogenesis, may be involved in the regulation of satellite cells self-renewal (By similarity). ZNF354C is related to gene expression and Herpes simplex virus 1 infection. An important paralog of this gene is ZNF879.
