Produced in rabbits immunized with E Coli-derived Human VPS50/CCDC132 fragment, and purified by antigen affinity chromatography.
Preparation and Storage
This antibody can be stored at 2-8 degree C for one month without detectable loss of activity. Antibody products are stable for twelve months from date of receipt when stored at -20 degree C to -80 degree C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

VPS50 acts as component of the endosome-associated recycling protein (EARP) complex that is involved in endocytic recycling. The EARP complex associates with Rab4-positive endosomes and promotes recycling of internalized transferrin receptor (TFRC) to the plasma membrane. VPS50 is mainly associated with the cytosolic face of endosomes marked by the small GTPase Rab4, and promotes the recycling of TfRs from endosomes to the plasma membrane. The functions of endosome-associated recycling protein (EARP) in TfRs transport are essential for the viability of mammalian organisms, as demonstrated by the embryonic lethality of mice with homozygous null mutations in this pathway, showing abnormalities in the nervous system such as kinked neural tubes.
