Related Product Information for anti-VHR antibody
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the dual specificity protein phosphatase subfamily. These phosphatases inactivate their target kinases by dephosphorylating both the phosphoserine/threonine and phosphotyrosine residues. They negatively regulate members of the mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinase superfamily (MAPK/ERK, SAPK/JNK, p38), which are associated with cellular proliferation and differentiation. Different members of the family of dual specificity phosphatases show distinct substrate specificities for various MAP kinases, different tissue distribution and subcellular localization, and different modes of inducibility of their expression by extracellular stimuli. This gene maps in a region that contains the BRCA1 locus which confers susceptibility to breast and ovarian cancer. Although DUSP3 is expressed in both breast and ovarian tissues, mutation screening in breast cancer pedigrees and in sporadic tumors was negative, leading to the conclusion that this gene is not BRCA1. Uniprot Description

DUSP3: a non-receptor, dual-specificity phosphoprotein phosphatase (DUSP). Different members of the DUSP family show distinct substrate specificities for MAPKs, different tissue distribution and subcellular localization, and different modes of inducibility of their expression by extracellular stimuli. DUSP3 inactivates the mitogen-activated kinases Erk2 and Jnk and is phosphorylated by ZAP-70. Phosphorylation by ZAP-70 is required for DUSP3 to inhibit the Erk2-Elk-1 pathway.

Product Notes

The VHR dusp3 (Catalog #AAA9409604) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The VHR antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's VHR can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Western blotting: 1:500-1:3000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the VHR dusp3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "VHR, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
