Rabbit anti-Human VAP1 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-VAP1 antibody
VAP1, ID (Membrane Primary Amine Oxidase, Copper Amine Oxidase, Semicarbazide-sensitive Amine Oxidase, SSAO, Vascular Adhesion Protein 1, VAP-1, HPAO, AOC3) (MaxLight 650)
FLISA: 1:1,000
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Western Blot (WB)
(Western Blot analysis in CEM cell line lysates (35ug/lane) usingMBS627415. VAP1 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Immunohistochemistry analysis in formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human colon carcinoma usingMBS627415, which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of MBS627415 for immunohistochemistry.)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS)
(Flow Cytometric analysis of CEM cells using MBS627415 (bottom histogram) compared to a negative control cell (top histogram). FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the semicarbazide-sensitive amine oxidase family. Copper amine oxidases catalyze the oxidative conversion of amines to aldehydes in the presence of copper and quinone cofactor. The encoded protein is localized to the cell surface, has adhesive properties as well as monoamine oxidase activity, and may be involved in leukocyte trafficking. Alterations in levels of the encoded protein may be associated with many diseases, including diabetes mellitus. A pseudogene of this gene has been described and is located approximately 9-kb downstream on the same chromosome. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Uniprot Description
AOC3: Cell adhesion protein that participates in lymphocyte recirculation by mediating the binding of lymphocytes to peripheral lymph node vascular endothelial cells in an L-selectin- independent fashion. Has a monoamine oxidase activity. May play a role in adipogenesis. Belongs to the copper/topaquinone oxidase family.

Product Notes
The VAP1 aoc3 (Catalog #AAA6505495) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The VAP1, ID (Membrane Primary Amine Oxidase, Copper Amine Oxidase, Semicarbazide-sensitive Amine Oxidase, SSAO, Vascular Adhesion Protein 1, VAP-1, HPAO, AOC3) (MaxLight 650) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's VAP1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), FLISA, Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). WB: 1:100-1:500 FLISA: 1:1,000 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the VAP1 aoc3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "VAP1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
