NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Ubiquitin (MIM 191339), a highly conserved protein involved in the regulation of intracellular protein breakdown, cell cycle regulation, and stress response, is released from degraded proteins by disassembly of the polyubiquitin chains. The disassembly process is mediated by ubiquitin-specific proteases (USPs). Also see USP1 (MIM 603478).[supplied by OMIM]
Uniprot Description
USP15: Protease that degrades 'Lys-48'-linked polyubiquitin chains. Protects target proteins against proteasomal degradation. Protects APC and human papillomavirus type 16 protein E6 against degradation via the ubiquitin proteasome pathway. Belongs to the peptidase C19 family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: Protease; Ubiquitin-specific protease; Ubiquitin conjugating system; EC 3.4.19.12
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 12q14
Cellular Component: cytoplasm; nucleus
Molecular Function: identical protein binding; protein binding; cysteine-type endopeptidase activity; ubiquitin-specific protease activity; SMAD binding; transforming growth factor beta receptor binding
Biological Process: BMP signaling pathway; proteasomal ubiquitin-dependent protein catabolic process; protein deubiquitination; transforming growth factor beta receptor signaling pathway; negative regulation of transforming growth factor beta receptor signaling pathway

Product Notes
The USP15 usp15 (Catalog #AAA628497) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The USP15, NT (Ubiquitin Carboxyl-terminal Hydrolase 15, Ubiquitin Thiolesterase 15, Ubiquitin-specific Processing Protease 15, Deubiquitinating Enzyme 15, Unph-2, Unph4, KIAA0529) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's USP15 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000 Western Blot: 1:100-1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the USP15 usp15 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "USP15, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
