Related Product Information for anti-USF2 antibody
Description: USF2 Transcription factor that binds to a symmetrical DNA sequence (E-boxes) (5'-CACGTG-3') that is found in a variety of viral and cellular promoters. Interacts with MAF. Efficient DNA binding requires dimerization with another bHLH protein. Binds DNA as an homodimer or a heterodimer (USF1/USF2).
Function: Transcription factor that binds to a symmetrical DNA sequence (E-boxes) (5'-CACGTG-3') that is found in a variety of viral and cellular promoters.
Subunit Structure: Interacts with MAF (By similarity). Efficient DNA binding requires dimerization with another bHLH protein. Binds DNA as a homodimer or a heterodimer (USF1/USF2). In vivo, the USF1/USF2A heterodimer represents over 66% of the usf binding activity whereas the USF1 and USF2A homodimers represent less than 10%. The USF1/USF2B heterodimer accounted for almost 15% in some cell.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the basic helix-loop-helix leucine zipper family of transcription factors. The encoded protein can activate transcription through pyrimidine-rich initiator (Inr) elements and E-box motifs and is involved in regulating multiple cellular processes. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2016]

Uniprot Description

Product Notes

The USF2 usf2 (Catalog #AAA9600228) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The USF2 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's USF2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemisty (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), ELISA (EIA). WB: 1:500-1:3000 IHC: 1:50-1:200 IF/ICC: 1:100-1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the USF2 usf2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "USF2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
