Affinity Purified UFD1L Purified 20 kDa UFD1L protein Antibody
Essential component of the ubiquitin-dependent proteolytic pathway which degrades ubiquitin fusion proteins. The ternary complex containing UFD1L, VCP and NPLOC4 binds ubiquitinated proteins and is necessary for the export of misfolded proteins from the ER to the cytoplasm, where they are degraded by the proteasome. The NPLOC4-UFD1L-VCP complex regulates spindle disassembly at the end of mitosis and is necessary for the formation of a closed nuclear envelope. It may be involved in the development of some ectoderm-derived structures.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene forms a complex with two other proteins, nuclear protein localization-4 and valosin-containing protein, and this complex is necessary for the degradation of ubiquitinated proteins. In addition, this complex controls the disassembly of the mitotic spindle and the formation of a closed nuclear envelope after mitosis. Mutations in this gene have been associated with Catch 22 syndrome as well as cardiac and craniofacial defects. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. A related pseudogene has been identified on chromosome 18. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2009]

Uniprot Description

UFD1L: Essential component of the ubiquitin-dependent proteolytic pathway which degrades ubiquitin fusion proteins. Belongs to the UFD1 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The UFD1L ufd1l (Catalog #AAA5400203) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The UFD1L Antibody Affinity Purified reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's UFD1L can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), IMM, Western Blot (WB). Dot Blot: 1:10,000 ELISA: 1:10,000 Immunoprecipitation: 1:200 Western Blot: 1:500. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the UFD1L ufd1l for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "UFD1L, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
