Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human hepatocarcinoma tissue reacted with U2AF1 antibody (Center S70), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of anti-U2AF1 Antibody (Center S70) in Ramos cell line lysates (35ug/lane).U2AF1(arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of U2AF1 (arrow) using rabbit polyclonal U2AF1 Antibody (Center S70). 293 cell lysates (2 ug/lane) either nontransfected (Lane 1) or transiently transfected (Lane 2) with the U2AF1 gene.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
U2AF1: Plays a critical role in both constitutive and enhancer- dependent splicing by mediating protein-protein interactions and protein-RNA interactions required for accurate 3'-splice site selection. Recruits U2 snRNP to the branch point. Directly mediates interactions between U2AF2 and proteins bound to the enhancers and thus may function as a bridge between U2AF2 and the enhancer complex to recruit it to the adjacent intron. Belongs to the splicing factor SR family. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: Spliceosome; RNA splicing; RNA-binding; RNA processing
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 21q22.3
Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; spliceosome; Cajal body; nuclear speck
Molecular Function: RS domain binding; protein binding; metal ion binding; nucleotide binding
Biological Process: transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; nuclear mRNA splicing, via spliceosome; mRNA export from nucleus; RNA splicing; gene expression; mRNA 3'-end processing; mRNA processing; termination of RNA polymerase II transcription

Product Notes
The U2AF1 u2af1 (Catalog #AAA6504338) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The U2AF1, ID (S70) (Splicing Factor U2AF 35kD Subunit, U2 Auxiliary Factor 35kD Subunit, U2 snRNP Auxiliary Factor Small Subunit, U2AF35, U2AFBP) (MaxLight 550) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's U2AF1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), FLISA, Western Blot (WB). IHC: 1:50-1:100 FLISA: 1:1,000 WB: 1:50-1:100 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the U2AF1 u2af1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "U2AF1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
