Related Product Information for anti-TH antibody
Tyrosine hydroxylase catalyzes the rate limiting step in the synthesis of dopamine and other catecholamines. The enzyme's activity is regulated at the levels of transcription, translation and post-translational modification. Tyrosine hydroxylase exists in several different isoforms ranging from 50kD to about 62kD in human. The N-terminal regulatory domain contains three phospho-serine sites: Ser19, Ser31 and Ser40. Phosphorylation at Ser40 by PKA positively

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is involved in the conversion of tyrosine to dopamine. It is the rate-limiting enzyme in the synthesis of catecholamines, hence plays a key role in the physiology of adrenergic neurons. Mutations in this gene have been associated with autosomal recessive Segawa syndrome. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been noted for this gene. [provided by RefSeq]

Uniprot Description

TH: an enzyme involved in the conversion of phenylalanine to dopamine. As the rate-limiting enzyme in the synthesis of catecholamines, tyrosine hydroxylase has a key role in the physiology of adrenergic neurons. Four splice variant isoforms have been described.

Product Notes

The TH (Catalog #AAA625642) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Tyrosine Hydroxylase, phosphorylated (Ser40) (TH, TYH, Tyrosine 3 Hydroxylase, Tyrosine 3 Monooxygenase) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Tyrosine Hydroxylase can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunofluorescence (IF). Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry.,, Recommended Dilution:, Western Blot: 1:1000, Immunocytochemistry (IF): 1:200, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TH for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Tyrosine Hydroxylase, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
