Related Product Information for anti-TRPC7 antibody
Canonical transient receptor potential7 (TRPC7) is the seventh identified member of the mammalian TRPC channel family, comprising nonselective cation channels activated through the phospholipase C (PLC) signaling pathway. TRPC7 localizes in the surface and tubular sarcolemma of cardiomyocytes in normal adult rats and its expression significantly decreases in hypertrophied cardiomyocytes from renovascular hypertensive rats. TRPC7 may thus play a significant role in normal physiological settings in the heart. the expression characteristics of transient receptor potential canonical 7 (TRPC7) in normal and hypertrophic cardiac myocytes.

Uniprot Description

TRPC7: Thought to form a receptor-activated non-selective calcium permeant cation channel. Probably is operated by a phosphatidylinositol second messenger system activated by receptor tyrosine kinases or G-protein coupled receptors. Activated by diacylglycerol (DAG). May also be activated by intracellular calcium store depletion. Belongs to the transient receptor (TC 1.A.4) family. STrpC subfamily. TRPC7 sub-subfamily. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Channel, calcium; Membrane protein, integral; Membrane protein, multi-pass

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 5q31.1

Cellular Component: cis-Golgi network; integral to plasma membrane; nuclear envelope; perinuclear region of cytoplasm; plasma membrane

Molecular Function: calcium channel activity; protein binding; store-operated calcium channel activity

Biological Process: cytosolic calcium ion homeostasis; manganese ion transport; platelet activation; single fertilization

Product Notes

The TRPC7 trpc7 (Catalog #AAA8103720) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-TRPC7 Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human Predicted to React with: Mouse (Species predicted to react based on 100% sequence homology) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TRPC7 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P). IHC-P: 1:200-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TRPC7 trpc7 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TRPC7, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
