Immunogen
A synthesized peptide derived from human TRIM71.
Conjugation
Unconjugated
Similarity
The NHL domain, containing the 6 NHL repeats, is necessary and sufficient to target RNA but not to repress mRNA. The minimal region needed to execute repression consists of the coiled coil domain and the Filamin repeat. The RING-type domain is dispensable for mRNA repression. Belongs to the TRIM/RBCC family.
Post Translational Modifications
Autoubiquitinated.
Subunit Structure
Interacts (via NHL repeats) with AGO2; the interaction increases in presence of RNA. Interacts with HSP90AA1. Interacts (via NHL repeats) with MOV10, PABPC1, PUM1, PUM2, STAU2, XRN1 and XRN2 in an RNA-dependent manner. Interacts with SHCBP1; leading to enhance its stability (By similarity).
Tissue Specificity
Specifically expressed in testis.
Function
E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase that cooperates with the microRNAs (miRNAs) machinery and promotes embryonic stem cells proliferation and maintenance (Probable). Binds to miRNAs and associates with AGO2, participating in post-transcriptional repression of transcripts such as CDKN1A (By similarity). In addition, participates in post-transcriptional mRNA repression in a miRNA independent mechanism. Facilitates the G1-S transition to promote rapid embryonic stem cell self-renewal by repressing CDKN1A expression. Required to maintain proliferation and prevent premature differentiation of neural progenitor cells during early neural development: positively regulates FGF signaling by controlling the stability of SHCBP1 (By similarity). Specific regulator of miRNA biogenesis. Binds to miRNA MIR29A hairpin and postranscriptionally modulates MIR29A levels, which indirectly regulates TET proteins expression.
Preparation and Storage
Store at -20 degree C. Stable for 12 months from date of receipt.

Product Notes

The TRIM71 trim71 (Catalog #AAA9630244) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The TRIM71 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TRIM71 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA)(peptide). ELISA(peptide): 1:20000-1:40000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TRIM71 trim71 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TRIM71, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
