Related Product Information for anti-TREM1 antibody
TREM1 (triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells) is a type I transmembrane protein with a single Ig-like domain, and is selectively expressed on blood neutrophils and a subset of monocytes. As a member of the growing family of receptors related to NK cell receptors, TREM1 activates downstream signaling events with the help of an adapter protein called DAP12. Expression of TREM1 is up-regulated by bacterial LPS, a ligand for TLR4, as well as lipoteichoic acid. Although its natural ligand has not been identified, engagement of TREM1 with agonist mAbs triggers secretion of the proinflammatory cytokines TNF-alpha and IL-1beta, as well as chemokines such as IL-8 and monocyte chemoattractant protein (MCP)-1. Intracellularly, TREM1 induces Ca2+ mobilization and tyrosine phosphorylation of extracellular signal-related kinase 1 (ERK1), ERK2 and phospholipase C-gamma. In an animal model of LPS-induced septic shock, blockade of TREM1 signaling inhibited hyperresponsiveness and death. Thus, it has been demonstrated that TREM1 performs a critical function in immune responses involved in host defense against microbial challenges, and is suggested to be a potential therapeutic target for septic shock.

Uniprot Description

TREM1: Stimulates neutrophil and monocyte-mediated inflammatory responses. Triggers release of pro-inflammatory chemokines and cytokines, as well as increased surface expression of cell activation markers. Amplifier of inflammatory responses that are triggered by bacterial and fungal infections and is a crucial mediator of septic shock. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Receptor, misc.

Cellular Component: membrane; cell; integral to membrane

Biological Process: neutrophil chemotaxis; cell migration; cytokine metabolic process; cytokine secretion during immune response; chemokine metabolic process

Product Notes

The TREM1 trem1 (Catalog #AAA8101919) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-TREM-1 Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TREM-1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunofluorescence (IF). IHC-P: 1:500-1:2000 ICC/IF: 1:300-1:10,000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TREM1 trem1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TREM-1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
