Preparation and Storage
Storage: Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Store at 4 degree C for frequent use.
Aliquot and store at -20 degree C for 12 months.
Stability Test: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

NCBI Description

This locus represents naturally occurring read-through transcription from the neighboring MSANTD3 (Myb/SANT-like DNA-binding domain containing 3) and TMEFF1 (transmembrane protein with EGF-like and two follistatin-like domains 1) genes. The read-through transcript encodes a fusion protein that shares sequence identity with the products of each individual gene. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2013]

Uniprot Description

TMEFF1: a single-pass type I membrane protein. May inhibit NODAL and BMP signaling during neural patterning. A member of the Cancer-Testis Antigen (CTA) superfamily. CTAs may play roles in embryonal development and tumor transformation or aspects of tumor progression. CTAs were once thought to be silenced in most normal adult tissues, with limited expression in fetal, placental, testis, and ovarian cells. These proteins are now known to be aberrantly expressed in various cancers and many are capable of eliciting humoral and cellular immune responses. Expressed predominantly in brain, and at lower levels in heart, placenta and skeletal muscle. Down-regulated in brain tumors as compared to control brain tissues. Expressed in a variety of cancers cell lines and in myeloma cells. Belongs to the tomoregulin family. Two isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. Note: This description may include information from RefSeq and UniProtKB

Protein type: Cancer Testis Antigen (CTA); Membrane protein, integral

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 9q31.1

Cellular Component: integral component of membrane; plasma membrane

Biological Process: multicellular organism development

Product Notes

The TR1 tmeff1 (Catalog #AAA2006055) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Polyclonal Antibody to Tomoregulin 1 (TR1) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Tomoregulin 1 (TR1) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, WB; IHC; ICC; IP. Western blotting: 0.5-2µg/mL Immunocytochemistry in formalin fixed cells: 5-20µg/mL Immunohistochemistry in formalin fixed frozen section: 5-20µg/mL Immunohistochemistry in paraffin section: 5-20µg/mL Optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user . Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TR1 tmeff1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Tomoregulin 1 (TR1), Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
